Aadhaar Card also been known as Aadhar Card is a unique identification number provided by UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) on behalf of Indian Government to each individual persons . Aadhaar is a 12 digit number which becomes identity and address proof for a person at anywhere in India. In short Aadhaar Card is same as Green Card of USA and other countries . Because of that each and every Indian citizen must have his / her Aadhaar Card which available to enroll only once and for free of cost.
Aadhaar Number will be different for each individual of family including children . And as it will be unique for each of family member and to maintain uniqueness at enrollment center different details such as demographic details (resident address , birth certificate ) and bio metric details (fingerprints , photographs , iris scan) gathered and saved in centralized database .
